Mazy’s athletic journey began right here in Wilmette, where she participated in local recreational leagues and competed in three varsity sports at New Trier High School. In college, she discovered a passion for long-distance running, completing her first Chicago Marathon in 2003. After years of trail running in the Bay Area, Mazy sought a way to feel like a true athlete again. In 2018, she attended her first CrossFit class in Marin and was instantly hooked. CrossFit’s blend of challenge, humility, and reward reignited her competitive spirit, offering opportunities for personal growth and team camaraderie.
Mazy brings a wealth of coaching experience to CrossFit Wilmette, ranging from leading spinning and barre classes to coaching second-grade girls' basketball—a testament to her patience and adaptability. She is a CF-L1-certified coach and thrives on helping athletes of all levels achieve their goals.
Outside of the gym, Mazy works in the health and wellness industry as a marketer for Traditional Medicinals, an herbal tea company based in Sonoma County. She is also a certified nutritional consultant through Bauman College of Holistic Nutrition. Most importantly, she’s a proud mom to four kids—a role she considers her most significant and rewarding challenge.
Mazy is passionate about inspiring others, particularly moms, to challenge themselves, prioritize their well-being, and find joy in fitness. Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or just starting out, she invites you to join her in a class at CrossFit Wilmette.
