Mary Kate’s fitness journey kicked off eight years ago in Tennessee when a friend forced her to attend her first CrossFit class—and, surprisingly, she never looked back. What started as a reluctant favor quickly turned into a full-blown passion, fueled by the challenge, the community, and the thrill of lifting heavy things just for fun.
In 2018, she added Olympic weightlifting to the mix, dedicating two years to mastering the art of technical lifts. The barbell became her happy place, right alongside the buzz of a great metcon and the energy of a packed class.
Today, CrossFit isn’t just a workout for Mary Kate—it’s a core part of her lifestyle. The discipline, community, and personal growth it fosters have become integral to who she is, both inside and outside the gym.
Mary Kate loves being part of the CrossFit Wilmette community, where the people are as strong as the coffee and the support is as solid as her deadlift form. Inspired by the coaches and athletes around her, she’s taking the next step in her fitness journey by earning her CF-L1 in March 2025.
When she’s not at the gym, you’ll find her in Chicago, juggling life with her three awesome kids, proving daily that being strong isn’t just for the barbell—it’s for everything life throws your way.
