Regardless of a person’s past athletic experience or current level of fitness, everyone who first comes to CrossFit Wilmette is provided with the opportunity to learn about basic techniques, terminology, preworkout warm ups, and exercises before participating in regular CrossFit class.
There’s two ways to get started at CrossFit Wilmette. Please read below to see your options.
Taught by Coach Andrew Black and John Poulos, these classes are for first-timers only and meet three times a week, for two consecutive weeks.
On-Ramp classes are kept to very small sizes to ensure one-on-one attention. As you work through the six consecutive sessions you and your fellow newcomers will learn about the correct form for basic, functional CrossFit movements, and slowly work up to increase your level of intensity. On-Ramp is the perfect place to ask questions and make some new friends before transitioning into our regular classes. Attendance and participation is mandatory, so if you are unable to make a session, contact Andrew Black who will work with you to reschedule. For a schedule of On-Ramp classes, check here.
The cost for On-ramp + 10 weeks of Unlimited CrossFit Classes is $495.
Foundations - Personal Training
Foundations are one-on-one private sessions. If you prefer a more personalized approach to learn the basics of CrossFit, then Foundations is for you. You’ll meet personally with your coach for four sessions, scheduled at your convenience. Four sessions are generally enough time to learn the basics, but If you need more help we’re here for you. If you and your coach decide that you're not ready for classes after four sessions, you can do personal training with your coach until you feel comfortable enough to join classes or strictly personal training. This is a unique opportunity for all athletes to meet their personal goals! Our CrossFit coaches serve as the best personal exercise coaches on the North Shore and will even come to you.
The cost for Foundations ( 4 sessions) + 11 weeks of Unlimited CrossFit is $550.
